Planning, pricing and delivery

Review the most common details below. Your exact route and vehicle may require additional planning.

How long does vehicle shipping take?

Transit timing depends on route distance, weather, traffic and carrier schedules. Shorter routes may take a few days, while coast-to-coast transport usually needs a wider delivery window.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

Carrier cargo insurance should be verified before dispatch. Coverage details, limits and exclusions need to be reviewed in writing for each shipment.

Can I put personal items in my car?

Many carriers limit personal belongings and they are generally not covered by cargo insurance. Confirm the current rule before pickup.

How far in advance should I book?

One to two weeks gives more scheduling flexibility. Expedited pickup may be possible when the route has available qualified carriers.

What information is needed for an estimate?

Pickup and delivery city or ZIP, vehicle year, make, model, operating condition, transport type and preferred pickup date.

What is door-to-door vehicle shipping?

The carrier gets as close to the requested addresses as safely and legally possible. Large trucks may need a nearby open location.

Can you transport a non-running vehicle?

Possibly, when disclosed in advance. The vehicle usually needs to roll, steer and brake, and the carrier may need loading equipment.

What affects the shipping price?

Distance, route demand, vehicle size, operating condition, open or enclosed transport, fuel, season and pickup flexibility all affect pricing.
